Here is the castle cake that I made for Sara's girl, Anne. She had a princess party this past Friday and Sara asked if I would make a cake. I love to make and decorate cakes!! I had made this particular one once before for Courtney, but didn't follow the directions. This time, I was determined to follow the directions. As you can see, the towers are leaning, but they never fell over. They are attached to pipes to hold them in the cake. I need to go back and really make sure I cut the pipes straighter for the next time. It's not 100% up to my standards, I find lots of things wrong with it, but all in all, it turned out well. I do thank Sara for letting me do this, and at her house too, but also for helping me put those last final touches to it. She helped ice and put sprinkles on the torrets and came up with the streamer to go around the bottom.
I'll let her tell about the party, but I did want to show the cake.

I'm telling you...OPEN YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!! Melissa, that looks amazing. I am so proud of you!!!
Great job! I am guessing Anne was excited about it!
That cake is cute. If you hadn't said it was a cake I would have thought it was one of Courtney's castle toys. Looks that good.
