Well, the school year has begun at our little Tri-C Homeschool. Christopher is in the 5th grade, Courtney 3rd and Cameron Kindergarten. So far it has gone well, course it's only been one week! I'm used to what Christopher is doing since I taught 5th grade already in the school system. Courtney and Cameron I'm familiar with after doing those grades with Christopher. Cameron is doing well but he HATES to color. He will just go so fast and basically scribble the page just to be done with it. I will then make a copy of the page and he has to re-do it better. Sam, being the principal, will then look at the re-do and decide if it is good enough to keep or not. If he continues to do this, he knows that he will lose all priviledges of playing on computer or video games. He is getting better at coloring nicely the first time now.
Not only are we doing school, but Courtney has gymnastics right now twice a week, but will be going down to once a week next month. She and Christopher will be starting soccer next month. This is our first year doing soccer so I'm interested in seeing how they really like all the running around. Right now, they are both very excited about it. As soon as they get started I'll be sure to post some pics of them.
In addition to all that Christopher, Courtney and myself are also in a play at the local theater; Dr. Doolittle. Christopher is a hedghog in Act I, sick monkey in Act II and a circus customer in Act III. Courtney is crocodile Act I & II and then a customer in Act III. I am Gub-Gub the pig in Act I & II and the fat lady in Act III. Sam and Cameron also will make an appearance as extra customers at the circus. You bet I'll be putting pics from that on once we get costumes. It's coming along right now, and we all enjoy it. Sam & I will be directing "A Christmas Carol" for the Dec/Christmas play. This will be our first time as directors and not actors, so we'll see how that will go.
So as you can see we are busy little beavers over here. We pretty much having something going on everynight of the week except Friday-Sunday. Play practices are Monday/Thursday, I tutor Tuesdays and we have Bible study on Wednesday. Plus any church activity that comes along, we are there too! Not much down time for us right now. But we can't complain because we volunteered and did it all ourselves, nobody made us.
