Another cake

I just finished doing another cake. This time it's for the Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble. They are performing tonight at the Ruffin Theater (the local theater where we do all our plays). After the performance, there will be a reception and I was asked to do the cake. I think it actually turned out alright. Sam says it's one of my best ones yet. I'll let you be the judge for yourself.
Christopher decorated his own cake for his birthday this past week. I'll let him blog about it, but there's a pic in case he doesn't anytime soon!! He did it all himself!

Nothing much is going on right now. I'm just trying to get some parties booked for Pampered Chef. I thought I was going to have a catalog show from a friend, but she's not gotten back in touch with me yet.

I have another opportunity that may come up. This lady that has her own catering business recommended me for cakes to a local business in Memphis. They do birthday parties for little girls and don't offer cakes with their packages. She took her daughter there and offered my name. I need to get some more info. but it sounds like it would keep me busy and probably pay well. Nothing is definite yet though. I'll keep you updated.
